Everything gives me chills -- No matter if its the mens footwear to the accessories to the jackets. This is not only functional fashion but its very realistic and dare I say.... urban?

You can actually wear this out in pubilc and not be afraid of getting gawked at. Its newsworthy and its powerful. It invites drama. To put it bluntly you can be the star in your very own movie in your mind. You become the stuff legends are made of when you put these clothes on. Its that good.

Just last week I was at the SPA at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. I realized then how important it was to get your body back into alignment and work out all the poisons in your lymph system. This is something that everyone should do -- seriously!

The next thing you should do is give your body something nutritious and delicious to drink. When I had finished I had a wonderful blueberry mint smoothie. This elevated my entire being into dimensions unknown!

I started to look deeper into the Spa food and drink combination to futher enhance my future spa experiences. Not only did I become a fan for this type of cuisine - but I also was eager to try more. This was a new level to mind, body and spirit.

So, to help you get kick started in the right direction. Here is one recipe we found online to get you there......

Boo Boo - non-alcoholic spa drink

Chef's Note
There's no miracle slimming drink, but there are vitamin-filled beverages that can make up for nutritional deficiencies in our diet... all without exceeding 100 calories per glass. They're delicious and easy to prepare.

We suggest placing ice in your blender instead of water so that the drinks are chilled and ready to drink. You could also replace the ice with sparkling mineral water or club soda to make the drink even more refreshing on a hot day.

If you're not concerned with calories, replace the sugar substitute with a dash of grenadine.

Ingredients for each serving

100 ml (6 tbsp.) pineapple juice
100 ml (6 tbsp.) orange juice
Juice of 1 lemon
A drop of Angostura bitters
Ice
1 tsp. sugar substitute

Method
Place all the ingredients in a blender and liquefy; serve in a tumbler;
Garnish according to your whim.

There are no words on this ELLE spread. Its as if they want us to form our own opinions.

As usual Gaultiers looks are a head of his time. But this round really reminds me of the Sci Fi Network and most particulary DUNE. Its got a great look to it. I wonder how much of it will translate to every day on the street wear?

I hope it does catch on for the most part. It has some great sleek elements to it that really work. The model doesn't have to do more than fill out the form. The clothes carry the REAL attitude and the color palette works out nicely. These are FALL colors that don't fight for attention. Everything has a pleasing tone to it.

And you can't say that about a lot of whats out there today.

ED Hardy - Guess Whos Coming To Dinner !!

At first glance, you think this might actually sell. At the second glance, you cannot stop laughing. But at the third glance you find yourself look at it all over again.

Why?

These girls look like walking vending machines for children. Hardy has managed to finaggle a way to enwrap these women from head to toe in bubble gum tattoos and the stuff you dig out of the childrens vending machines for a quarter.

It looks fun dangling off a child but not an adult.

These girls don't come off as tough... well maybe on the eyes. But seriously, they look as if they have jumped straight out of the toy bin and onto the street. They are from the Mattel line and quite honestly put the Bratz girls to shame.

I could almost accept this look but the hats really blow it for me.

Long graphic t-shirt dresses is a combination of the dress trend and the re-newed graphic t-shirt trend. I love this trend -it's casual, summer-y and comfortable. It is literally the most effortless outfit one could walk out of the house in, I mean, it requires even less effort than a T-shirt and jeans combo.

I love love the simplicity (but not boring) of the t-shirt dress at Marc Jacobs. Wearing it with those sandals give the outfit a touch of elegance.

The retro t shirts have been around for quite a few summers now but never in this elongated look. This particular look is a bit sloppy and it looks like something that was hauled out of the Goodwill bin. That seems to be whats selling these days.

These often have paint splattered all over them or carry faux logos of some distint products you may or may not have ever heard of. Still all in all these are great kick around clothes that you can have fun in.

"One of The Most Demanding Self Indulgent People -- In The Universe - Humiliating Everyone Within Earshot --- Is Back, With More Drivel"

I've tried to invent new reasons for liking Janice Dickinson and have failed. This woman goes way out of her way to insult and embarrass good folk and bad folk alike in mass media. This sharp witted, heavy handed, big mouth is a one woman army against gracious manners.

This clip should come as no surprise. But what I did find surprising was a recent article in Six Degrees magazine that showed some civil photos taken of Janice with her mouth shut. She looked somewhat tame and even likeable.

But this clip shows her at her most vicious, sexist and cruel. Janice was on a recent episode of, THE SURREAL WORLD and I must say that it made for some rather entertaining television. She was out insulted by noneother than Belki, (Bronson Pinchot) from the defunct comedy, "Perfect Strangers". She actually ended up climbing and jumping out a window! True it was the first floor but she ran out of the house crying her eyes out.

Some people can dish it out but cannot take their own cruel medicine.

"A Passport Back In Time: Mr. T's Fashion Show !!!"

This is a bit painful and may make you feel like your a 100 years old... but thats the point! This is fun entertainment on another level. This video clip screams 1983. Its harmless fun and may make you adore the present age you live in!

The producers who created this clip had a sense of humor but maybe not so much a sense of fashion. The age of leg warmer and sweatbands was a strange one to contend with. One can only hope that it doesn't come back with any type of brute force.

Mr. T is entertaining however, but maybe not in this clip, he had another interesting romp with tv in, "I Pity The Fool". One cannot help but like him somewhat. If nothing else he definately believes in himself.

This dayglo however is a bit hard on the eyes.

The concept seems to be working for a lot of men."I just cut a guy's hair who was in here to get a haircut on his way to play basketball at Loyola University," Barnes said.To heighten its image Sport Clips has partnered with a variety of top names and organizations in the sports world.

I have to give this church credit where its due. They knew they had to take action and grow leaps and bounds and went to the web for answers.....

LAKE BLUFF, Ill. (Feb. 5) - Police say a man accused of failing to pay for pedicures and other spa treatments led officers on a brief foot chase before he was arrested. Marshall G. Wolbers, 56, of Lake Bluff, has been charged with theft of services, police said Monday. He was arrested over the weekend near a train station. "He ran away from the officers across a parking lot and tried to get into a taxi ...

That's when he was apprehended," Deputy Police Chief David Belmonte said. Authorities had been searching for a man fitting Wolbers' description who received a number of services in at least 20 spas in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin since last March and left without paying the bill. Belmonte said an officer had spotted Wolbers in a vehicle

Thursday evening. But when police tried to pull him over, he led them on a chase through several suburban Chicago communities. The chase was called off because Wolbers was driving recklessly.

He eventually was captured at the Lake Bluff train station Saturday morning. Wolbers, who also was cited with several traffic violations, is free on $20,000 bond.

Size Zero Models Are Back!! -- In London

LONDON (AFP) - One of the biggest names in British fashion, known for its close links to supermodel Kate Moss, will not use size zero models during London Fashion Week, media has reported.

Topshop, a high street brand which peddles cutting edge designs at affordable prices, has asked its designers not to use waifs.

It signed a much-trumpeted design deal with the famously skinny Moss last year.

The news came days after the British Fashion Council said it would not ban stick-thin models from London's catwalks when the shows start in two weeks' time, despite increasing pressure for the move.

"We are going to set the scene at the opening of London Fashion Week and I hope everyone else follows," Sir Philip Green, head of the Arcadia group, which owns Topshop, said in the Daily Telegraph.

"We all know what the definition of unhealthy is and we want to try to act correctly, responsibly and without causing a rift."

But he added that the company would not go as far as weighing its models.
The organizers of Madrid Fashion Week in September banned women with a body mass index (BMI) of less than 18, while ultra-thin models were also barred from Milan's fashion week.

BMI measures body fat based on height and weight and it is thought that a 5ft 9in (1.75 metres) model would have to weigh at least 55 kilograms (121 pounds) to comply with the WHO's suggested range.

In the Big 80's I purchased a pair of socks from the Gap, no big deal, but when I got them home I noticed that these were well constructed socks. In fact, I got a case of happy feet. So like a good customer I went back to the Gap store where I purchased them and told the cashier my good news. The cashier cocked an eyebrown and sneered without saying a word as if I had just lost my mind. Strange reaction.

Well, now the tables are turned and I got the same sort of reaction to their latest offering. Piperlime. The name really doesn't seem to work for me. Sand pipers? limes? Shoes. Hmmmm

I still don't quite understand.

But the shoes are nice. They sell a wide variety of shoes including the Effie, Grand Jams Unlimited and the all new Slate Calf Height Boot which looks fine if you're about to conquer K9. But since there isn't much snow on the ground as of late you may want to go with the more fashionable Agogo by Dilba. Then of course you got your Rockports and Steve Maddens etc.

For the guys there are some smart looking footwear by Kenneth Cole. I actually prefer the street boots by Cole as opposed to the Doc Martens, (I still will always wear Docs of course) the Kenneth Cole boots have a distinct look about them. They appear somewhat dressy but yet are a great street boot.

Ah... but anyways.... Why make a shoestore online? Its puzzling. Its got a lot of fashion critics puzzled too. When you get a chance you can check them out here.....

The color workshops at Windsor Beauty Supply, (in Farmington Hills, MI) are definitely worth a look. I was fortunate enough to check one of them out recently.

Windsor Beauty Supply is famous for its affiliation with Schwarzkopf Hair Products and is the major distributor for this line in the S.E. Michigan region.

Rebecca LaRocque has been teaching Schwarzkopf products for the past three years. She says, “Schwarzkopf with all its lines, Osis, Bonacure offers a superior product. They give you the perfect formulation and many more control options…….. This becomes essential when you are dealing with Red hair coloring.”

As cosmetologists know Red hair coloring jobs are the hardest ones to handle. The problem is that you need to be consistent and of course getting a hold of a superior product like the ones in the Schwarzkopf lines becomes absolutely essential.

Getting good training in this area is not easy to come by. Windsor Beauty Supply is in Farmington Hills, MI on the corner of 10 mile and Middlebelt rd. It is off the beaten path and tucked away inside a residential district.

The 400 square foot training facility is fully equipped with a full stage, 25 ft. ceiling and track lighting. The environment is comfortable with adequate seating and plenty of room to move around. The training room is also filled with individual training stations to give you an “at home” feel.

The pace of the class is low key and is very question friendly.

The class covered all aspects of the Schwarzkopf line including the color safe shampoos and breakdown of all aspects of color application. The technical aspects of the class touched upon color mixing which is essential when you want to create accurate hair color. The percentage of grey hair becomes a real key issue when you want to get radiant red tones.

Even if you think you know it all. As a cosmetologist you can greatly benefit from this class. We covered over the specific Schwarzkopf Permanent Royal product numbers, (example 7-1 number, mixed with a –1 copper for amazing effects).

Now here is what separates great salons from – “not so great” salons. Windsor Beauty Supply understands quality. The Bonacure Color Safe Shampoo will actually exfoliate dead cuticle fragments. This occurs because of the inclusion of a very unique ingredient – papaya extract.

This is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL if you want the newly applied color to sink into the hair. The color will be more vibrant and deliver a higher sheen after this process is applied.
